Preparing Students for
Success After High School
The Heart of Missouri RPDC is dedicated to college and career readiness for all Missouri students. We promote the development and implementation of successful career pathways and collaborate with school districts, area career centers, military, post-secondary institutions, and employers to ensure that Missouri students will have the knowledge, skills and experiences to make successful transitions to post-secondary options.

Helping Educators
Implement ICAP & Missouri Connections
The Heart of Missouri RPDC assists school counselors, administrators, and teachers with implementation of ICAP and Missouri Connections. RPDC Career Advisors have developed a professional development session that provides classroom teachers with a simple, applicable, and relevant method to utilize Missouri Connections within their lessons.

Developing and Implementing
Career Pathways
Recognizing that schools are essential to the economic vitality of communities, Career Pathways consultants work with schools to determine the high demand career, explore training options, develop pathways that lead to career, and to promote work-based learning and career development. Missouri Career Pathways provides externship grants to connect educators with area employers for hands-on exposure to business and industry. The externship experience increases the teachers’ ability to advise students about career options and skill development and makes classroom learning more relevant for students. Please contact the Pathways consultant to assist in designing and implementing an externship for your district.
